傲慢与偏见英语读后感
Pride And Prejudice After read the book and listened the group one?s report, I just want to say something of my own. The reason why I choose this book is I am little same with Darcy. Usually I won?t make friends with the people who give me a bad impression, I will have prejudice with him or her. Another reason is this book has its own glamour, including the people, the language and so on. I divide my report into five parts and let?s begin it. Author’s Biography Jane Austen (1775-1817), British female novelist. She was regarded as “write prose of Shakespeare” by Thomas Macauley, the famous Britain historian, poet and publicists in the 19 th century. Due to living in the country town, she is in contact with the medium and small landlord, pastors such characters as well as their quiet and comfortable living environment. So she works without major social contradictions. She uses women?s unique meticulous observation describe the small world around her, especially among ladies of marriage and love. Her writing style is relaxed, humorous and full of comic conflict. It?s so popular with readers. Her main works: Plots Of This Book The story start around Mrs Bennet?s five daughters? marriage. The person who moved to the new single young tycoons from London named Mr Bingley fell in love with the gentle beauty of the eldest daughter Jane. And his friend Darcy fell in love with the second daughter Elizabeth. As she listened to the young office Wickham and she has a prejudice against Darcy, cause the marriage is very slow. After a series of interesting some misunderstanding has been eliminated. Darcy overcome the pride and Elizabeth also change the prejudice against him. They marry at last and others also get happiness of their own. Darcy and Elizabeth?s love reflect the theme of the
novel incisively and vividly. So I want to write some plots about them to understand the novel deeply. Darcy is a pride person in Elizabeth?s eyes, she has a prejudice against him. That?s the novel?s beginning. When they first meet, Darcy didn?t dancing with anyone. Elizabeth just began her prejudice. Maybe it?s because their rank. A lot of history prove, the rank conception often bring about prejudice to each other. We should understand it. But Darcy isn?t a bad person, we can conclude he is a good man by the things he has done for Elizabeth. Elizabeth was surprised by the news which she heard from Darcy?s friend. And she knew it is Darcy who give some advice to Bingley and tell him to give up the emotion with Jane. She was angry, confused, she can?t understand! One side is her sister and the other side is the man she loved. And the word which Wickham told her make the mistake more deep. In my eyes, Darcy just doesn?t know how to express his emotion. His heart is good, but he also makes mistakes. At the end, Darcy and Elizabeth married, Bingley and Jane married, all of them have a good end. Although Darcy?s aunt----Katherine doesn?t agree. I like the dialogue between Elizabeth and Katherine. The following dialogues are choosing from the book: ? let me speak plainly, this marriage, which you dare to hope for, can never take place. Because Mr Darcy is engaged to my daughter. His mother and I planned their marriage when they were still children. They are an ideal couple, both from respectable, honourable, ancient families, with an excellent fortune on both side. What can possibly divide them? The desperate ambitions of a young women without family, connections or fortune? It cannot be! And I warn you, Miss Bennet, if you marry him, don?t expect to be noticed by his family or friends. Your name will never even be mentioned by any of us.? ?These are heavy misfortunes, but the wife of Mr Darcy must necessarily be so happy that she couldn?t regret her marriage.? ?Obstinate girl! Tell me , are you engaged him Elizabeth couldn?t avoid saying, after a moment?s though, ?I am not.? Lady Katherine seemed pleased. ?And will you promise me never to enter into such an engagement ? I will make no such promise. You have totally misunderstanding my character. If you think I can be persuaded by such threats. I don?t know whether your nephew
approve of you interference in his life, but you certainly have no right to interfere in mine!? Through the dialogues, we can deeply feel the prejudice that Katherine to Elizabeth. In Katherine?s eyes, Elizabeth is a village girl, she looks down on Elizabeth. But every time Elizabeth talks to Katherine, her attitude is anbending, respect and politeness. She is a self-respect girl, not self-contained. Main Characters Mr Bennet: Elizabeth?s father, who is unhappy married and fails to provide a secure financial future for his wife and daughters. Mrs Bennet: Elizabeth?s mother, a urban petty bourgeois, soak herself in finding gentleman for her five daughter, a little stubborn. Jane Bennet: Elizabeth?s elder sister and confidant .A gentle kind-hearted young women. Elizabeth Bennet: beauty, self-respect, intelligent, spirited, faithful, subjective. She doesn?t defeat by the old concept, instead, she is so brave to looking for her love. Mr Darcy: a gentleman, wealthy, able-minded, polite, loyal, a little indifferent but also warm-hearted. Mr Bingley: wealthy, cool, approachable. He doesn?t brave at first, but finally he can face his love with Jane directly. Figure Of Speech In , Jane Austen use all kinds of satire in the theme, language, characters and plot, shaping a series of vivid characters, revealing the social prevailing at that time with money as the axis of love and marriage, attacking only pay attention to material, caste and don?t pay attention to the love between men and women both parties of marriage. Through the combination of a few for young men and women process description, on the one hand, the author criticizes the decay of the old conception of love and marriage. On the other hand, Jane promote her ideas about the perfect marriage: both pay attention to the material and pay attention to the marriage of love is perfect. The perfect marriage should be the combination of material and love. Conclusion Through the book we can learn a lot. First, it?s about the first impression. Everyone knows the first impression is important. Should we judge a person by their first impression? The answer is no. Whoever we meet, wherever we are, we should keep
our dignity. Don?t be pride, don?t judge a person by his appearance and first impression, don?t give prejudice to people who you hate. Then, it?s concept of marriage. In our society, we can see a lot of family marriages, political marriages or even some worse. There is no love between their marriage, it more like a deal. The author think the perfect marriage should be the combination of material and love. Marriage can?t be without love. There?re still some rank concept in marriage today. Love is no limits and marriage is also. Everyone should have a fair concept of marriage. Third, it?s about the faith. Elizabeth is a faithful girl. Once she decides, she will do it. Even if she faces Mr Katherine, the high rank people, she doesn?t give up her love. It deserve us to learn, we will meet a lot of bad thing in our struggling way. How to deal with the bad thing? Hiding? Ignoring? No, we should defeat it, then we can arrive the destination.
